Job summary

Serenity Hospice Care Pennsylvania is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide to deliver end-of-life care in the Scranton area. Work under RN supervision to meet patient needs, promote comfort, and uphold dignity.

You must have CNA or HHA certification, at least one year in healthcare, and a valid driver's license. We offer competitive pay, evening and weekend hours, direct deposit, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in the healthcare industry.
• Valid CNA and/or HHA certification.
• Licensed driver with an insured vehicle.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to provide specialized care.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort
• Observe the patient and report these observations
• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care
• Certified nursing assistant duties

Your responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort
• Responsible for observing the patient and reporting these observations
• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care
• Certified nursing assistant duties

Required skills and qualifications:

• Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements
• One year of previous experience working in the healthcare industry
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to comfortably provide specialized care to the terminally ill
• Valid CNA and/or HHA Certification
