Job summary

Serenity Hospice in Allentown is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our hospice team serving terminally ill patients in the Allentown area. Work locally with supervision from a registered nurse to promote comfort and dignity.

The ideal candidate holds a valid CNA or HHA certification, has at least one year of healthcare experience, a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA and/or HHA certification.
• One year of healthcare experience.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort
• Responsible for observing the patient and reporting these observations
• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care
• Certified nursing assistant duties

Your responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse and perform various services for your patient as necessary to meet his or her personal needs and promote comfort
• Responsible for observing the patient and reporting these observations
• Promote quality, continuity and safety of your patient’s care
• Certified nursing assistant duties

Required skills and qualifications:

• Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements
• One year of previous experience working in the healthcare industry
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and ability to comfortably provide specialized care to the terminally ill
• Valid CNA and/or HHA Certification
