What you will do

The Construction Project Manager, part of our Building Solutions North America business, will lead large, complex, multi-million dollar controls construction projects across the U.S. This is a remote position based in the U.S., with travel up to 50% or more as required.

Under general direction, you will be responsible for the profitable execution of assigned projects, working with sales managers, branch teams, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will also pursue change orders actively and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.

How you will do it
  • Act as the primary on-site leader for project execution teams, developing and implementing project schedules.
  • Evaluate scope changes, pursue additional work through change orders, and negotiate final settlements.
  • Manage costs, billings, collections, and maintain project profitability and cash flow.
  • Review contract terms, analyze financial reports, and communicate project status proactively.
  • Manage risks, resolve disputes, and oversee subcontractor negotiations and compliance.
  • Coordinate resources, oversee construction, and develop long-term client relationships.
  • Support project development, customer training, and collaborate with various teams for project success.
What we look for
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of eight years of project management experience in the building construction industry.
  • Experience with Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS, Fire, and Security systems is preferred.
  • PMI/PMP certification within two years preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, proficiency in project management and financial systems, and experience managing complex projects with multiple challenges.
