What you will do

The Construction Project Manager will lead large, complex, multi-million dollar controls construction projects across the U.S. This is a remote position based in the U.S., with travel up to 50% or more as required.

Under general supervision, you will be responsible for the profitable execution of projects, working with sales managers and teams to support early-stage sales activities, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

How you will do it

  • Lead on-site execution teams, develop and implement project schedules.
  • Evaluate scope changes, pursue additional work through change orders, and negotiate final settlements.
  • Manage costs, billings, collections, and maintain profitability and cash flow.
  • Review and interpret contract terms, analyze financial reports, and address potential issues proactively.
  • Manage risks, resolve disputes, and oversee subcontractor negotiations and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partners, coordinate resources, and ensure project standards and customer expectations are met.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or an Associate's Degree with relevant experience.
  • At least eight years of project management experience in the building construction industry.
  • Experience with Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS, Fire, and Security systems is preferred.
  • PMI/PMP certification expected within two years.
  • Strong communication skills, proficiency in project management and financial systems, and MS Office suite expertise.
  • Ability to handle complex projects with multiple challenges and coordinate across various subject areas.
