What you will do

The Construction Project Manager will lead large, complex, multi-million dollar controls construction projects across the U.S. This is a remote, U.S.-based position requiring travel up to 50% or more.

Responsibilities include ensuring project profitability, coordinating with sales and installation teams, managing costs and schedules, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

How you will do it

  • Act as the primary on-site leader, developing and implementing project schedules.
  • Evaluate project scope, manage change orders, and negotiate final settlements.
  • Manage costs, billings, and collections to maintain profitability.
  • Review and interpret contractual terms and conditions.
  • Analyze project financials and schedules to address issues proactively.
  • Manage risks and resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Negotiate and issue subcontracts.
  • Ensure project documentation compliance and oversee construction activities.
  • Manage procurement and delivery of materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for resource allocation and project execution.
  • Support project development and customer training as needed.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture; or an Associate's Degree with relevant experience.
  • At least eight years of project management experience in the building construction industry.
  • Experience with Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS, Fire, and Security systems is preferred.
  • PMI/PMP certification expected within two years.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in project management software, MS Office, Adobe, Visio, and Windows.
  • Willingness to travel and handle complex projects with multiple scopes and subcontractors.
