Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
• CMA or RMA certification within the first year of employment.
• Clinic/physician office experience preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within three months.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, assist with procedures and blood draws.
• Perform EKGs and manage related tests per provider orders.
• Document patient interactions accurately in the EMR/EHR system.
• Handle front-line duties and contribute to care coordination.
• Maintain exam/procedure rooms and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique.
• Cross-coverage in other clinic areas as needed.
• Follow equipment maintenance protocols and participate in improvement projects.
