Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, day-shift position in Adel, Iowa. You will support patient care, document in the EMR, assist with procedures, and ensure accurate communication within the health care team.

Qualifications include a CM A or RMA within the first year, completion of an accredited MA program, BLS certification within 3 months, and completion of mandatory reporter training within 3 months. Prior clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification within first year of employment.
• Clinic/physician office experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certification or within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completion within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a variety of procedures and operation of diagnostic equipment as assigned.
• Maintain aseptic technique for preparation, procedures and medications.
• Document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record accurately.
• Report results and pertinent information to patients and health care team members.
• Provide patient education and ensure understanding of treatment plans.
