Qualifications

• Successful completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
• Must obtain CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/NPCE MA certification within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in Windows, web navigation, email, and MS Office.
• Read, write and understand English; communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Deliver patient care including preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation.
• Assist with procedures, exams, and immunizations under provider direction.
• Prepare and organize patient charts and document results in the medical record.
• Schedule tests, labs, x-rays, surgeries, and follow ups; coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on plans of care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to policies; support training of new staff.
