Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current/valid CMA certification required or RMA certification if applicable.
• Medication Aide 40-hour course or certification required if applicable.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license required with reliable transportation to multiple worksites.
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Record vital signs including BP, temp, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, and medications.
• May draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Administer medications/vaccines as ordered by provider.
• May perform routine tests (e.g., EKGs).
• Schedule diagnostic testing and follow up on completion.
• Communicate test results and plan of care to patient as directed.
