Job summary

Planet Fitness in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead front desk operations and support the General Manager in day-to-day club activities. You will coach frontline staff, ensure excellent member service, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required (Associates degree preferred).
• 6 month Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high volume atmosphere (1 year preferred).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and drive club metrics aligned with business performance.
• Develop knowledge of club services, programs and products and competitors.
• Assist in interviewing and recruitment with initial phone interviews for front desk and fitness instructors.
• Monitor inventory and review sales numbers with GM to identify opportunities and adjust execution.
• Communicate and uphold company standards; lead by example for a clean, friendly club.
• Ensure team punctuality, dress code, friendliness and cleanliness.
• Develop and maintain cleaning duties for front desk and overnight staff.
• Coordinate disciplinary actions with GM, Regional Manager and HR.
• Cover shifts for call-outs or vacancies; assist Club Manager when needed.
• Oversee club audits to keep areas clean, neat, organized, like new.
• Mentor Front End staff for career growth through training and performance reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Club Manager.
