Job summary

Planet Fitness in Wareham, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support gym operations and deliver a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone experience while helping the club meet its financial and service goals.

You will lead front-desk activities, recruit and train a high performing staff, ensure superior customer service, oversee cleanliness, monitor safety and inventory, and provide back-up support to the Club Manager as needed. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
• Current CPR Certification preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
• Member service oversight - Ensuring staff is providing a superior customer experience at all times.
• Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
• Involved in all front desk related activities including: Check members into the system, New member sign-up, Tour prospects.
