Job summary

24 Hour Fitness is seeking an Operations Manager in Sunnyvale, CA to lead the front-line club team and ensure an exceptional member experience. You will drive payroll compliance, scheduling, and service standards across the club, while supporting retail and Kids' Club operations where applicable.

You will manage wage-and-hour practices, supervise staff, and partner with the General Manager on staffing, training, and performance management to maintain a welcoming, safe club environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; and supervisory or team-lead experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, or customer service.
• Experience building employee schedules and managing labor hours to a budget.
• Knowledge of wage-and-hour practices, including meal/rest breaks, timekeeping, and payroll accuracy.
• Proficiency with POS, scheduling/timekeeping systems, and Microsoft 365; comfortable with mobile/tablet tools.
• Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills with a member-first service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise front-line club staff and coordinate with the General Manager on recruiting and selection.
• Onboard/train new team members on service standards, safety procedures, and timekeeping; ensure certifications are current.
• Coach staff, conduct performance conversations, and recommend pay actions with the General Manager.
• Ensure timecards are accurate; review, edit, and document timekeeping exceptions as required.
• Lead front desk operations, member check-in, and support for memberships and digital tools.
