Job summary

In-Shape Fitness is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to run the club when the General Manager is off duty. This role leads, supports, and achieves results through the club team, promoting our brand and motivating guests and prospects to join, use, and remain a member.

The AGM focuses on member and employee retention, drives sales, and manages operating expenses while ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable club environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years management experience highly desired.
• Desirable knowledge of fitness including equipment and group fitness.
• Strong service orientation and desire to deliver an outstanding member experience.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive lead conversion and member retention goals.
• Manage inventory and negotiate profitability; use suggestive selling.
• Support membership sales growth with GM/Area Manager.
• Ensure Welcome Desk has tools/resources as per policy.
• Monitor financial performance; review P&L monthly with leadership.
