Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure cloud environments for U.S. government missions.

You will enforce NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD IL-4/IL-5 controls across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and hybrid clouds, while enabling CI/CD security in collaboration with DevSecOps teams. The role requires hands-on security expertise in regulated settings, strong problem solving, and the ability to communicate security concepts to engineering

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or related field (or 5+ years equivalent experience).
• 5–9+ years in cloud security engineering with hands-on work in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Google GCP, or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
• Experience securing cloud platforms in regulated environments and implementing security controls across CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
• Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, RMF, DoD IL-2/4/5, and SCCA requirements.
• Configure IAM/RBAC, JIT access, Key Vaults, and Zero Trust across cloud environments.
• Deploy and optimize cloud-native security tools (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, CSPM/CWPP, Elastic SIEM).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing simulations, and security reviews against STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and NIST controls.
• Develop, maintain, and update SSP, SAR, POA&Ms, and risk/compliance reporting for cloud operations.
• Coordinate incident response, IoCs, threat intelligence, and root-cause analyses in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps and development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide security guidance and training on secure cloud patterns and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Be on-site 5 days a week at our Playa Vista, CA office.
