Job summary

Agil3 Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support the U.S. Government IT environment, focusing on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 with on‑premises integration.

You will maintain reliable, secure, and highly available cloud services, covering identity, networking, compute, storage, monitoring, and recovery. This role requires 7–10+ years of Azure experience, active DoD Secret clearance, and a relevant technical degree.

• 7–10+ years in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering with hands-on Azure
• Active DoD Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Meets DoD 8140/DCWF requirements for Work Role 628 Advanced
• Experience designing and supporting Azure enterprise environments
• Experience with Entra ID and cloud IAM
• Experience administering Azure VMs, storage, networking, security, monitoring, backup
• Experience VNets, NSGs, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity
• Experience with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Experience implementing Azure Policy and governance
• Experience with Azure Backup and DR technologies
• Experience supporting hybrid on-prem/Azure
• Experience integrating Azure with Microsoft 365 and identity services
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, authentication
• Knowledge of cloud security architecture and least privilege
• Experience troubleshooting cross-domain issues
• Ability to document architectures, SOPs, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot an Azure cloud environment
• Design and maintain secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available cloud services
• Manage Entra ID and cloud IAM capabilities
• Support integration between Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and on-premises infrastructure
• Configure, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot VNets and cloud networking services
• Configure and manage NSGs and other cloud security controls
• Support ExpressRoute, VPN, and hybrid connectivity between Azure and on-premises resources
• Deploy, configure, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure VMs
• Configure and manage Azure storage resources
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics
• Develop alerts, dashboards, queries, and monitoring solutions
• Implement and maintain Azure Policy and governance controls
• Apply DISA STIGs and DoD security requirements
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity to remediate vulnerabilities
• Maintain cloud backup and recovery capabilities
• Support Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery
• Develop and maintain DR procedures
• Use Azure Advisor to improve reliability, security, and performance
• Monitor capacity and performance and recommend changes
• Support cloud provisioning, migration, upgrade, decommissioning
• Assist with migration between on-premises and cloud
• Support Microsoft 365 integration and cloud-dependent services
• Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues
• Participate in root-cause analysis for outages
• Maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, and guides
• Prepare After Action Reports for outages and incidents
• Identify End-of-Life technologies and modernization paths
• Provide Tier III cloud escalation and mentorship
