Job summary

Apexon is seeking a Federal Cloud Engineer to join our remote team. You will build and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure for federal workloads up to FedRAMP High, using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with architects, cybersecurity teams, and government stakeholders to deliver compliant, scalable cloud solutions. Candidate should have strong AWS/GCP experience, knowledge of IAM and networking, and familiarity with FedRAMP and NIST controls.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud engineering.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Core consulting skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and government stakeholders.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and identity and access management.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and cloud automation.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud monitoring, and incident response.
• Ability to support secure, reliable, and scalable cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
• Support federal workloads requiring security and compliance controls up to FedRAMP High.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code to automate cloud provisioning and configuration.
• Implement and maintain cloud networking, identity and access management, and security controls.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for availability, performance, security, and operational issues.
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
• Maintain technical documentation and security/compliance evidence aligned with federal requirements.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, cybersecurity teams, and government stakeholders to deliver compliant solutions.
• Support cloud infrastructure improvements focused on resilience, scalability, automation, and security.
