Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud environments supporting U.S. government missions. You will ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD ILs across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and hybrid setups.

The role requires hands-on cloud security in regulated environments, implementing IAM, zero trust, encryption, and data protection while aligning with SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and GDPR/CCPA as applicable.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security in cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure, multi-cloud).
• Experience securing data in regulated environments with DoD/NIST frameworks.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, RMF).
• Ability to design secure cloud architectures and IAM strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, RMF, DoD ILs.
• Configure IAM/RBAC/JIT access and Zero Trust principles.
• Operate cloud-native security tools (Defender, Sentinel, CSPM) and SIEMs.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security reviews (STIGs, CIS).
• Develop SSP/SAR/POA&M and risk reports for cloud ops.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to secure CI/CD pipelines.
