Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud environments supporting U.S. government missions. You will protect data in AWS GovCloud, Azure, and hybrid clouds while aligning with NIST, FedRAMP, and RMF requirements.

The role emphasizes IAM/RBAC, Zero Trust, and automation using Terraform and Python. On-site in Playa Vista, CA, you’ll collaborate with DevSecOps and engineering teams to advance secure cloud migrations and modernization.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cloud security in regulated environments.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.
• Secure cloud architectures with least privilege and encryption.
• Familiarity with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD ILs.
• Experience building SSP/SAR/POA&M documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and GCP.
• Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD ILs.
• Implement IAM, RBAC, JIT, and Zero Trust across clouds.
• Deploy and tune cloud security tools (Defender, Sentinel, SIEM).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Prepare SSP/SAR/POA&M and risk reporting.
