Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our IT team. You will lead infrastructure resilience across cloud and SAAS environments, instrument the tech stack, and partner with architecture and development teams to ensure stable, high-performance services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in infrastructure reliability, SRE or DevOps practices.
• Hands-on with observability tools and cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation to monitor availability, performance, quality, currency and resiliency.
• Collaborate with architecture and software teams to drive resilience strategy.
• Develop tooling and automation for problem prevention, detection and recovery.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and enforce DevSecOps practices.
• Design intelligent incident routing and automated service restoration.
