Job summary
Ford Motor Company is seeking a senior platform/DevOps engineer to join Enterprise Technology. You will mentor engineers and help run distributed systems, OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters on GCP/Azure, with a focus on high availability, security, and automation.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the platform's strategic direction, manage SLAs/SLOs, and drive IaC initiatives. This is a remote, full-time role with a broad benefits package and opportunities to influence
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with platform, DevOps, or site reliability teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
- Deep technical expertise with container orchestration platforms (OpenShift and/or Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure on GCP and/or Azure.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a high-performing team of platform engineers to deliver solutions.
- Develop and operate OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters on GCP/Azure ensuring high availability and security.
- Define and monitor SLAs/SLOs; support MTTR processes for internal customers.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code practices to improve automation and efficiency.
- Align platform roadmap with business needs through cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide incident management support and post-mortems for platform issues.
