Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a highly technical Platform Engineer to mentor engineers and shape a culture of continuous improvement. You will work with a top-tier team on OpenShift/Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure on GCP/Azure, and IaC practices to ensure scalable, secure services for internal customers.

You’ll define SLAs/SLOs, drive automation, and contribute to the platform roadmap, partnering with cross-functional groups to align technology with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in platform/DevOps teams.
• Deep container orchestration expertise with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
• Hands-on cloud experience on GCP and/or Azure.
• Knowledge of IaC and service management principles.

Responsibilities

• Teamwork and delivery with a high-performing platform engineering team.
• Platform management of OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters on GCP/Azure.
• Support service delivery, SLAs/SLOs, and MTTR objectives.
• Drive automation and IaC best practices.
• Collaborate on platform strategy and roadmap.
• Incident management and post-mortem analyses.
