Ford Motor Company is seeking a highly technical Platform Engineer to join Enterprise Technology. You will mentor engineers, improve platforms and drive automation across OpenShift and Kubernetes on GCP and Azure.

The role emphasizes reliability, security, and scalable architectures to meet internal customer needs. You will contribute to strategy, incident analyses, and post-mortems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in platform, DevOps or SRE teams.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related field.
• Deep expertise with container orchestration platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience managing cloud infra on GCP and/or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a high-performing team of platform engineers to deliver reliable solutions.
• Develop engineering solutions and day-to-day operations of OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters on GCP/Azure with high availability and security.
• Define, monitor and meet SLAs/SLOs and MTTR targets to support internal customers.
