Job summary

Foundant, a remote-first software provider serving the social good ecosystem, seeks a Director of Cloud Operations to own end-to-end cloud operations across its SaaS portfolio. You will lead availability incident management, drive RCAs, and oversee multi-region infrastructure, costing, and release processes.

You will build and mentor a small team of SREs and site reliability admins, collaborating with Development, Security, and Support to ensure operational readiness and robust monitoring.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in cloud operations or infrastructure leadership.
• 5+ years in a director-level role.
• Hands-on expertise operating multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
• Experience managing availability and performance for SaaS products across multiple regions; familiarity with data residency and compliance.
• Experience leading availability incident management and root cause analysis for production environments.
• Experience overseeing configuration and change management across IaC/CI-CD environments and traditional release environments.
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure hosting costs at scale, including forecasting and cost-optimization practices.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end cloud operations across Foundant's portfolio of SaaS products.
• Lead availability incident management for production environments and present RCAs to stakeholders.
• Oversee configuration and change management across CI/CD and traditional release environments.
• Manage infrastructure hosting costs across multi-region footprint (US, Canada, EU, Australia, UK).
• Build and lead a team of system administrators and SREs.
• Collaborate with Development, Technical Security, and Support to ensure readiness and clear handoffs.
• Establish and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and performance management practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
