Job summary

Legion Technologies is seeking a Director of Production Engineering to build and lead a global DevOps/SRE organization responsible for availability, performance, and security of our production environment. You will guide architecture decisions, incident response, and roadmap while contributing hands-on 20-30% of the time.

You will drive IaC, CI/CD, and automation across AWS services, partner with IT and engineering, and ensure compliance and data protection.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in DevOps/SRE or production infra with people mgmt
• Hands-on with AWS production workloads (EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM)
• Experience running SecOps and incident remediation
• 5+ years observability-Driven reliability improvements
• Proficient in IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD automation
• Proficient in Go/Python/Bash; Git and tests in pipelines
• Linux/Unix production ops experience
• Cross-functional collaboration with engineering/IT on standards

Responsibilities

• Hire and lead a globally distributed DevOps/SRE team
• Own AWS-based production reliability and cost-efficient infra
• Lead SecOps including vulnerability management and incident response
• Define and track engineering OKRs for infra reliability, automation, security
• Champion observability and automate alert triage (Datadog)
• Understand AI infrastructure for SDLC and automated remediation
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and automation for velocity
• Align infra standards with engineering/IT and compliance needs
• Maintain security controls and audit-readiness
• Lead on-call rotations for incident management
• Stay current with cloud, DevOps, and security best practices
