Job summary

Blue Mantis is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to support multiple NYC-area customers. The role covers server and cloud environments, networking, and enterprise-scale workloads. You’ll work hands-on with Windows, Linux, and Unix, plus virtualization and security best practices to maintain availability.

The position is full-time, onsite, with a compensation range of $115,000 to $155,000 per year. Candidates should have strong networking, cloud, and scripting skills and be able to work across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• CCNA and CCNP ITIL certifications are preferred.
• Experience working in a complex, multisite enterprise environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to handle on-call incidents.

Responsibilities

• Server Administration: Manage Windows, Linux, and Unix environments to ensure performance.
• Cloud Operations: Administer AWS, Azure, and O365 workloads and containerization.
• Virtualization: Maintain VMware-based environments for scalability and availability.
• System Monitoring: Use SolarWinds and DataDog to ensure reliability.
• Incident Management: Lead network-related incident resolution and SLA adherence.
• Security Best Practices: Enforce secure networking across on-prem and cloud.
• Documentation: Create topology maps and detailed troubleshooting procedures.
