Job summary

Leidos seeks a software engineer to shape, develop, and deliver software solutions using Java, Go, Python, C#, and C++. You will work in an Agile team to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based applications across AWS, Azure, and other environments.

You will learn and apply CI/CD practices, contribute to backlog planning, and mentor others while maintaining code quality and customer focus throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 2–4 years of prior relevant experience or MS with <2 years
• Experience with OO programming languages (Java, Python, or Go)
• Experience with JavaScript and React
• Solid understanding of software development process fundamentals
• Strong desire to learn new languages, tools, and frameworks
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with Leidos Enterprise Application Framework (LEAF)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software using Java, Go, Python, C#, C++, React
• Participate in full software development lifecycle within defined parameters
• Use Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git/GitLab to manage work
• Support creation and updating of design, development, and testing docs
• Identify roadblocks and develop around them
• Plan and estimate development tasks to improve performance
• Develop maintainable code implementing user stories
• Develop automated unit and integration tests in CI/CD
• Own delivery of small parts of a system or application
• Collaborate with engineers to design best approaches for new products
• Build solutions with customer-focused mindset
