Job summary

Leidos Inc is seeking a Junior-Level Software Engineer with full-stack capabilities to design, build, test and maintain scalable software systems. You will contribute to front-end and back-end services, APIs, and participate in a full software release life cycle.

The role requires comfort with cloud platforms, testing, and modern CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java/Javascript, Spring Boot, relational databases, and version control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience with up to 2 years of software development experience.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Front-end web application development in one or more languages (Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with Jira/Confluence.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Git version control.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain source code, create and maintain software applications, and apply release-related frameworks.
• Perform programming, configuration management, testing, and bug fixing to support the software life cycle.
• Collaborate with peers to explain concepts and techniques related to the area.
• Work on day-to-day objectives under supervision on less complex projects.
