Leidos in Minnesota is seeking a Java Software Engineer – Scrum Master to support the Air Traffic Business Area, delivering cloud-native Java microservices and Agile team leadership.

Hybrid role with FAA collaboration; requires SAFe Scrum Master experience, strong Java skills, and ability to operate in secure, mission-critical environments.

Role includes hands-on software work and Scrum Master duties, with DevSecOps practices to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and reviewing Java applications.
• 1+ years of experience as a Scrum Master on a SAFe Agile team in a large-scale software environment.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, XSD, and front-end basics (React/HTML/CSS/JavaScript).

Responsibilities

• Approximately 50% hands-on software engineering: design, develop, test, review, deploy, and maintain cloud-native Java microservices.
• Approximately 50% Scrum Master responsibilities: facilitate Agile ceremonies and drive sprint predictability.
• Leverage DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate secure software delivery.
• Coordinate with Release Train Engineer and stakeholders on status, risks and delivery progress.
• Support deployment, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster cross-team collaboration.
