Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Data Center Technician to support on-site operations across multiple data centers in the United States. The role focuses on maintaining servers, network gear, and power/cooling infrastructure to keep the cloud running for customers worldwide.

You will join a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, work in 24/7 shifts, and travel between facilities as needed. A tech background and willingness to relocate or commute are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of computer/networking (L1/L2) troubleshooting experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel between data center locations as required by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix; troubleshoot network issues and respond to incidents.
• Serve as primary contact for engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform on-call duties and participate in maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on analysis of operational issues.
• Help train and onboard new team members.
