Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. The role focuses on migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures, and on designing and implementing client-specific cloud solutions.

The candidate will ensure scalable, secure cloud networks, work with stakeholders to plan growth, automate infrastructure, and provide architectural guidance across engineering and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of directly related cloud engineering experience.
• Experience with IAAS, SAAS, PAAS delivery models.
• Experience with enterprise server OS (RHEL 7/8, Windows Server 2019+).
• Experience with cybersecurity best practices.
• Active DoW Secret clearance and DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and optimize functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid clouds.
• Design, plan and implement client-specific cloud solutions.
• Ensure cloud networks are properly sized and responsive to user needs.
• Scale cloud services to meet growing demand and monitor usage.
• Implement security, fault tolerance, disaster recovery and failover capabilities.
• Build infrastructure automation for rapid delivery of updates.
• Provide architectural vision and roadmap with engineers and platform operations.
