Job summary

Blackstone Talent Group seeks a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The role focuses on migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid clouds, designing client-specific cloud solutions, and ensuring secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of related experience, knowledge of IAAS/SAAS/PAAS, and a DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification with an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of directly related experience.
• Experience with cloud delivery models (IAAS, SAAS, PAAS).
• Experience with enterprise server operating systems (RHEL 7/8 or Windows Server 2019+).
• Cybersecurity best practices knowledge.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Azure, AWS, or Cloud Certified Solution Architect certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Design, plan and implement client-specific cloud solutions.
• Identify appropriate cloud providers.
• Ensure the cloud network is properly sized and responsive to user demands.
• Scale cloud services to serve growing demands.
• Liaise with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plans.
• Monitor usage of cloud network.
• Implement effective security strategies on cloud networks.
• Implement fault tolerance, disaster recovery and failover capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
• Build infrastructure automation to ensure rapid delivery of system and application updates.
• Carry out testing and fine-tuning to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Provide architectural vision, strategy & roadmap and work with Engineers and Platform Operations staff to operationalize technology solutions.
