Amentum seeks a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support DoD cloud initiatives at Colorado Springs or Huntsville. You will migrate, design, and optimize cloud solutions across private, public, and hybrid environments with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability.

The role requires DoD clearance, cloud certifications, and hands-on experience with IAAS/PAAS/SaaS, RHEL/Windows Server, and cybersecurity best practices. On-site with competitive compensation.

Position Title: Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

Description of Duties:

The Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Specialize in migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
  • In doing so, will give organizations and business partners the freedom and flexibility to maximize their productivity while achieving additional cost savings to the MDA.
• Design, plan and implement client-specific cloud solutions
• Identify appropriate cloud providers
• Ensure the cloud network is properly sized and responsive to user demands
• Scale cloud services to serve growing demands
• Liaise with business owners and/or stakeholders to determine growth plans
• Monitor usage of cloud network
• Implement effective security strategies on cloud networks
• Implement fault tolerance, disaster recovery and failover capabilities
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines
• Build infrastructure automation to ensure rapid delivery of system and application updates.
• Carry out testing and fine-tuning to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Provide architectural vision, strategy & roadmap and work with Engineers and Platform Operations staff to operationalize technology solutions

The successful candidate will:

• Have strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Basic Requirements:

• Must have 1, or more, years of directly related experience
• Must understand cloud delivery models (IAAS, SAAS, PAAS)
• Must have experience with enterprise server operating systems/environments (i.e. RHEL 7 and/or 8; Windows Server 2019 and/or higher)
• Must have experience with implementing Cybersecurity best practices
• Must have DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification
• Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• AZURE, AWS, and/or Cloud Certified Solution Architect Certification
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's Degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math

Compensation Details:

$110,000 – $140,000
