Job summary

McMillan-Pazdan-Smith-2 is seeking a Systems Administrator in Greenville, SC to manage and secure our IT infrastructure, cloud services, and identity systems. You will streamline deployment of complex applications, including Autodesk AEC software, and support endpoints across offices.

The role emphasizes server and network administration, incident response, and collaboration with help desk teams to maintain high availability and security standards.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in systems administration.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise software across multiple offices and organizations, including application packaging, deployment automation, testing, troubleshooting, security, and compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain servers, cloud services, virtualization platforms, storage, backups, and core IT systems.
• Develop, and automate the packaging and deployment of complex applications—including heavy AEC-specific software like the Autodesk AEC suite.
• Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, user access controls, group management, and related identity services.
• Support endpoint management, application patch management, operating system configuration, device compliance, and lifecycle processes.
• Manage application updates and patching cadences, for Autodesk products and other enterprise applications.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and security; proactively address issues to reduce business disruption.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, configuration changes, vulnerability remediation, and routine maintenance activities.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, providing root-cause analysis, clear communication, and timely resolution.
• Provide guidance to help desk technicians and contribute specialized knowledge in areas such as cybersecurity, cloud services, networking, and application support.
• Travel to other office locations as needed.
