Job summary

McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain and secure our IT infrastructure across multiple offices. You will manage servers, cloud services, Active Directory/Entra ID, and endpoint management, ensuring reliable operations and cybersecurity compliance.

The role includes automating deployments for complex applications, including Autodesk AEC software, monitoring system health, performing upgrades, and providing escalation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of systems administration across servers, cloud, identity, and endpoint management.
• Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and AD environments.
• Knowledge of networking, security, backup and recovery concepts.
• Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain servers, cloud services, virtualization, storage, and backups.
• Develop and automate packaging and deployment of complex applications including Autodesk AEC software.
• Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, user access controls, and identity services.
• Support endpoint management, patching, OS configuration, device compliance, and lifecycle processes.
• Monitor system health, performance, security, and respond to incidents; provide root-cause analysis.
• Travel to other office locations as needed; mentor help desk staff.
