Job summary

The Systems & Cloud Engineer at UNC Asheville designs, administers, and improves the university's cloud, server, identity, and core infrastructure environments. The role collaborates with ITS teams to implement reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, Google Workspace, AD, virtualization, storage, and backup.

You will document configurations, support modernization efforts, automate where possible, and uphold strong cybersecurity practices to protect

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (Azure, M365).
• Ability to script in PowerShell, Python, or Bash and maintain technical docs.
