Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a senior leader for the State and Local Government Health and Human Service team to advance Medicaid and Eligibility modernization across states through cloud and AI-enabled solutions.

You will drive national strategy, shape partnerships, and enable cloud adoption at scale while ensuring governance, security, and data integrity in public-sector programs. This role is based in Denver and collaborates with cross-functional AWS teams to deliver impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 6+ years of professional or military experience.
• 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience.
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Responsibilities

• Engage and build trusted partnerships with State Health and Human Services Agencies at the executive level (e.g., State Medicaid Director, Medicaid CIO, etc.).
• Develop and execute strategies that drive partner and customer cloud adoption, starting with Eligibility and Medicaid customers and problems/challenges.
• Serve as a highly credible expert on the Medicaid and/or Eligibility domain with AWS partners, customers, and internal AWS teams.
• Work with AWS partners to develop repeatable solutions, programs, and models to accelerate and drive cloud adoption.
• Develop joint go-to-markets and other solutions to create new opportunities with our partners.
• Perform administrative business development functions to lead strategy, partnering with AWS Partners and Account Managers/Executives to deliver results.
