Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain AWS global infrastructure in Oregon. The role involves server, network, and OS repairs to ensure continuous service availability for customers.

Travel to multiple data center sites may be required, with on-call shifts and relocation support offered. You will join a diverse team of engineers and specialists, work during shifts that may include nights and weekends, and contribute to safety, security, and operational

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix and troubleshooting network issues.
• Primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• On-call duties and maintenance/change management.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvements.
• Interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
