Job summary

AWS is hiring an on-site Data Center Technician in Sparks, NV to maintain and support critical cloud infrastructure. You will perform server and network repairs, rack installations, and contribute to incident response to keep AWS services highly available.

You'll handle on-call rotations, assist with training new teammates, and help document processes to drive continuous improvements in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience (including troubleshooting and repair).
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on components, troubleshooting network issues, and repairs to contribute to service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders including engineers and vendors.
• On-call duties and participation in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement based on issue analysis.
• Helping interview, train, and onboard new team members.
