Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Data Center Technician to help maintain core data center operations, install equipment, and fix hardware and network issues. This role requires working in a 24/7 environment and may involve travel between facilities.

You will collaborate with engineers, vendors, and contractors while contributing to documentation and continuous improvements. The position may require relocation and working at multiple facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel between data center locations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and prioritization skills.
• Comfort with shift work and 24/7 operations.
• Ability to install equipment and repair hardware and networks.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations and hardware break-fix on components.
• Troubleshooting network issues and responding to incidents to maintain service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders.
• On-call duties and participating in maintenance and change management activities.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvements; training new team members.
