Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform server rack installations, hardware repair, and network troubleshooting to keep AWS services available. The role includes on-call duties, maintenance, and collaboration with engineers and vendors.

You'll join a diverse team and may relocate or travel between data center sites as needed, supporting 24/7 operations. You must be able to work in a physically demanding, industrial environment and lift heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting.
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience.
• Ability to travel to data center locations as needed.
• Willingness to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix and network troubleshooting to maintain service availability.
• Serve as primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders (engineers, vendors, contractors).
• Perform on-call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements based on issue analysis.
• Assist in interviewing, training and onboarding new team members.
