Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our team in Oregon. You will be responsible for server rack installations, hardware repairs, and network troubleshooting to maintain continuous data center operations that power massive cloud services.

The role involves on-call duties, shift work, and potential travel between data center sites. We value collaboration across software, hardware, and network teams and support a culture focused on safety, security, and process

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience (including troubleshooting and repair).
• Willingness to travel to multiple data centers and work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix, and troubleshooting to ensure service availability.
• Serve as primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders including engineers and contractors.
• Participate in on-call duties, maintenance, and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements from operational issues.
