Job summary

Cox is offering an Intern/Co‑Op opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This temporary position may lead to full‑time employment after graduation depending on business needs. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Pay ranges from $24.23 to $36.35 per hour, with potential additional compensation. The role involves developing and managing enterprise platforms, deployment pipelines, security and monitoring, plus building automation tools for cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Currently a college student pursuing a BA/BS degree in computer science or related field.
• Passion for technology, reverse engineering and writing code to create solutions.
• Collaborative attitude with clear communication in verbal and written form.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers and databases.
• Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
• Experience in writing code and scripts in at least one high‑level programming language.
• Eye for identifying inefficiencies and automating manual tasks.
• Familiarity with public cloud architecture and AWS.
• Familiarity with Agile concepts (Scrum/Kanban).
• Interest in building secure, resilient applications at scale.
• Interest in gathering data to measure performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning and procedures across environments.
• Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
• Help develop and follow security and engineering standards.
• Build tools and pipelines to enable CI/CD across environments.
• Automate code packaging, deployment and configuration management processes.
• Solicit feedback from delivery and operations teams to optimize throughput and quality.
• Track system and service performance and escalate as needed.
• Leverage AI tools to assist in productivity, testing and automation.
