Job summary

Cox is seeking Software Development Interns to join our team and learn from the best. You'll develop and manage enterprise platforms, deployment pipelines, security and quality monitoring across public and private clouds, gaining hands-on experience in automation and AI-assisted tooling.

Ideal candidates are currently pursuing a BA/BS in computer science or related fields, with a passion for technology, collaboration and problem solving.

Qualifications

• College student pursuing a BA/BS in computer science or related field.
• Passion for technology, reverse engineering and coding to solve problems.
• Collaborative attitude with clear communication in team settings.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers and databases.
• Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
• Experience in writing code and scripts in at least one high-level programming language.
• Familiarity with AWS and public cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile concepts (Scrum and Kanban).
• Interest in building secure, resilient applications at scale.
• Interest in gathering data to measure performance of applications.
• Familiarity with AI tools for productivity, testing, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Developing automation for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management across environments.
• Documenting new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
• Helping develop and follow security and engineering standards.
• Building tools and pipelines to facilitate CI/CD across environments.
• Automating code packaging, deployment and configuration management across environments.
• Soliciting feedback from delivery and operations teams to optimize software throughput and quality.
• Tracking system and service performance across environments.
