Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide in Palm Desert is seeking a Closing Specialist to help Owners and guests create memorable vacation experiences. You will answer questions about properties, advise on contracts, and support the Sales team to ensure accurate paperwork and timely follow-up.

The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, professional conduct, and opportunities for growth. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays is required; background and drug screening may apply.

Responsibilities

• Answer Owner questions regarding the use of properties and location amenities; make recommendations given the background information obtained on the Owner through discovery.
• Develop and maintain records on customer contacts and use that information to support effective follow-up opportunities.
• Advise Sales team on issues related to ownership contracts (e.g., titles, financing, pre-approval).
• Ensure that signed contract paperwork is accurate and contains all necessary information and documentation.
• Respond to Sales team requests related to contract status, such as additional information required, follow-up needed, or tracking.
• Uses sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty, including up-selling.

As a Closing Specialist, a typical day will include:

• Answer Owner questions regarding the use of properties and location amenities; make recommendations given the background information obtained on the Owner through discovery.

To Become a Closing Specialist:

• Available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.

• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 10 lbs without assistance.

• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
