Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• Experience in managing inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies.
• SERV Safe certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email) required.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Own end-of-day execution: oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments as well as overnight prep to ensure all areas are clean, stocked, and ready for morning open.
• Lead by presence: actively walk the floor during closing hours to observe execution, engage with Members, and support team performance.
• Maintain GOLD Standards through close: guarantee a Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA) and Fast, Friendly, Full, Fresh, Clean experience is delivered until the last Member exits.
• Ensure full-functioning departments through closing: validate that registers remain open, perishable stations are attended, and service areas are operational.
• Support Member issue resolution: personally resolve or elevate Member concerns during closing to ensure satisfaction.
• Drive in-stock and freshness: monitor evening inventory levels, product rotation, and merchandising execution.
• Enforce sanitation standards and safety protocols to uphold cleanliness and compliance.
• Lead Recovery team productivity: coach Recovery and Utility Clerks to ensure efficient task execution.
• Utilize BJ’s MY WORK system and productivity dashboards to validate execution and drive efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned and operate safely with full attendance.
