Job summary

Center for Justice Innovation seeks a Clinician for Staten Island's Supervised Release Program (SRP) to deliver crisis intervention, intake assessments, and service planning. You will work with judges, attorneys, and community providers to support participants’ stabilization and court compliance.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in social work or related field with 3 years of direct practice; LMSW or licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or a mental health field and 3 years direct practice experience.
• Experience in pretrial, court-based, or criminal legal systems preferred.
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and assessments and develop service/resource plans.
• Make referrals to address immediate needs and support engagement with referrals.
• Provide crisis intervention and ensure timely court reporting.
• Develop group and individual programming to meet participant needs and court mandates.
• Coordinate with case managers for warm handoffs and scheduling first check-ins.
• Provide de-escalation in crisis situations within courthouse settings.
• Maintain accurate data entry and documentation for program reporting.
