Headlands Research is seeking a full-time medical receptionist in Eastern Massachusetts to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a clinical setting. The role entails greeting patients, explaining intake forms, and scheduling clinic appointments to ensure smooth front-desk operations.

As part of the clinical team, you will support administrative tasks, handle patient flow, coordinate tests, and maintain professional communication in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a clinical environment with direct patient interaction is required.
• Clinical trials knowledge or experience is a plus.
• Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
• Positive and professional attitude is expected.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient with phones, PCs, and basic IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally at all times.
• Schedule patient appointments in the clinic.
• Coordinate lab tests, imaging, and off-site procedures.
• Obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Schedule EEGs.
• Answer phones and relay messages accurately.
• Provide intake paperwork (demographics, medical history, medications).
• Manage voicemail and faxes for appropriate routing.
• Facilitate prescription orders and refills.
• Front desk backup and support for the clinical team.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
