Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a budget and contract specialist for clinical trial budgeting and billing oversight. You will validate budgets and contracts, train coordinators, and interact with sponsors/vendors to ensure compliant billing practices.

The role requires collaboration across departments, development of cost documentation, and supervision of billing processes to support research activities at WashU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Clinical Trials experience (2 years) and Finance or Business Management experience (2 years).
• No specific professional license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and training for clinical research financial billing coordinators.
• Perform second review of protocols, budgets and contracts for accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise and coordinate with billing compliance offices at Washington University and BJC Hospital.
• Develop and maintain cost documentation and budget justification documents for sponsors/vendors.
• Assist study coordinators to ensure study procedures are billed correctly.
