Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a Clinical Research Financial Coordinator I to remotely coordinate budgets and billing for otolaryngology studies. You will determine costs, negotiate with vendors, and ensure SOC vs Research distinctions are accurately reflected in consent forms and contracts.

You will partner with study teams, the contracts office, and regulatory staff to finalize budgets and maintain compliant billing plans throughout the study lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Five years in Finance Or Business Management areas.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate budgets by reviewing protocols to identify study-related procedures and organize them into a budget for billing.
• Differentiate between Standard of Care (SOC) vs Research procedures with study team leads and PI.
• Prepare budgets using internal costs, historical study metrics, and sponsor proposals for negotiation.
• Maintain contact with sponsor to finalize budgets and integrate into research agreements with contracts office.
• Coordinate with research regulatory staff to identify procedures paid by the study vs billed to insurance (SOC vs R).
• Review final contracts to ensure budget terms are reflected and guide study coordinators on billing plans.
