Job summary

Alcanza Clinical Research in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Patient Liaison to support onsite recruitment for multiple studies. You will conduct pre-screening, qualify patients, and schedule visits to keep enrollment on track.

You will evaluate eligibility via interviews and records reviews, manage calendar and CTMS updates, and collaborate with site staff and clinicians. The role requires strong organization, bilingual English/Spanish, and attention to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 5 years in healthcare, call center, or medical research.
• MA, CNA, LPN/LVN, EMT or medical license preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience with therapy areas, customer service, calendar management, and CTMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite pre-screening to route qualified patients to studies.
• Evaluate eligibility via interviews and records reviews.
• Manage onsite screening visit schedules and rescheduling.
• Monitor No-Show/DNQ tracking and optimize processes.
• Handle inbound physician referral leads.
• Resolve patient barriers using site or sponsor support services.
• Update CTMS with patient touches and statuses.
• Create targeted call lists based on criteria.
• Support regional recruitment and meet leadership goals.
• Notify leadership of barriers to screens.
• Participate in local community outreach to educate patients.
